We are hiring an experienced Service Engineer based in Republic of Korea.
Job overview:
The Automation Service Engineer have to provide the best and timely services to the customers to create seamless experience and provide passionate customer orientation. Service engineer will take care of installation, commissioning, user training, trouble shooting, repair, calibration and annual maintenance contract services of ZwickRoell products. Service engineer will work independently, utilizing training and experience to determine the best course of action to provide best solutions to satisfy the customers. The Service Engineer reports directly to the Managing Director.
Job Responsibilities
Machine Installation, Commission and Training
- Installation, commission of ZwickRoell Group (ZRG) make machines, instruments acc. checklists.
- Identify spare parts, accessories, carry out repair, maintenance and supports trouble shooting.
- Liaise with Sales partner (MTM) on the machine configurations sold to the customer.
- To study and understand the sold machine system.
- Install and commission machine at customer site.
- Clarification of delivered machine items with Order Confirmation.
- Train user to operate machine system (hardware/software).
- Complete successful machine installation with user to sign an acceptance protocol and checklist.
Software Solution
- Identify user request
- Recommend suitable available software program or customize program
- Build up interface between machine software to user’s database system
Work with Sales Partner (MTM)
- Liaise and communicate with Sales Partner (MTM) on service problem in Korea
- Build rapport with Partners
Others:
- Constantly upgrade technical knowledge
- Document in-house spare part(s)
- Job requires between 70% traveling (domestic and overseas)
- Perform such other duties or activities as required by service manager from time-to-time.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation & maintenance of ZRG machines.
- Responsible for proper use and handling of tool kit and other equipment
Physical Demand
- Able to travel, participate in meeting and can use high quality tool kit.
- Work is usually performed at customer sites
Education, Experience & Requirements
Education
- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Automation / Instrumentation / Mechatronics)
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in servicing of material testing machines and instruments.
- Working experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing is preferred.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Materials testing & Materials property.
- Basic knowledge of Automation System.
- Basic knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
- Experience in customer support activity of Materials Testing Machines.
- Proficiency with PC software
- Good Communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to work independently, goal-oriented and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to travel so as to attend to customer feedbacks.
- Willing to undergo continuous re-training
- Proficient in Korean and English language
