We are hiring an experienced Service Engineer based in Republic of Korea.

Job overview:
The Dynamic Engineer is responsible for delivering top-tier, timely services to ensure a seamless customer experience. Key duties include the installation, commissioning, user training, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and annual maintenance of ZwickRoell dynamic machine products. Operating independently, the Dynamic Engineer will leverage their training and experience to provide optimal solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, they are accountable for the proper use and handling of tools and equipment, as well as coordinating maintenance and calibration with local companies. The Dynamic Engineer reports directly to the Managing Director.

Job Responsibilities

Machine Installation, Commission and Training of dynamic machines
  • Perform the installation and commissioning of ZwickRoell Group (ZRG) machines and instruments according to checklists.
  • Identify and procure necessary spare parts, accessories, and perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the sales partner to verify machine configurations sold to customers.
  • Study and understand the specifications of the sold machine system.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning process at the customer’s site.
  • Confirm delivered machine items against the order confirmation.
  • Train users on operating the machine system (hardware/software).
  • Successfully complete the installation process and obtain the user’s signature on the acceptance protocol and checklist.
Calibration and Maintenance
  • Conduct calibration of machine sensors (force/displacement) in collaboration with local calibration companies.
  • Fine-tune sensors to ensure they meet tolerance levels, if necessary.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on machines following the provided checklists.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any machine issues.
  • Recommend part replacements as needed.
  • Coordinate with the service coordinator to prepare and provide quotations.
Software Solution
  • Identify user requirements and recommend suitable software programs or customize them as needed.
  • Develop interfaces between machine software and the user's database system.
Collaboration with Sales Partner
  • Liaise and communicate with Sales Partners regarding service issues in Korea.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Partners.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Continuously upgrade technical knowledge.
  • Maintain documentation for in-house spare parts.
  • Job requires 70% to 80% travel, both domestic and international.
  • Be prepared to travel, participate in meetings, and utilize high-quality tool kits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Education, Experience & Requirements

Education
  • Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Automation / Instrumentation / Mechatronics)
Experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in servicing of material testing machines and instruments.
  • Working experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing is preferred. 
Requirements
  • Basic understanding of materials testing and properties.
  • Fundamental knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience in customer support for materials testing machines.
  • Proficiency in PC software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work independently with a goal-oriented and adaptable approach.
  • Capable of working under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel to address customer feedback.
  • Commitment to continuous re-training.
  • Proficiency in both Korean and English.
