Job overview:

Being open & passionate, focused & dedicated, this highly self-motivated leader position is to drive the ZwickRoell direct and indirect sales channels in SEA and the Asia Pacific region. The position requires to actively manage the sales & marketing teams to find & qualify leads, further develop & manage opportunities to sustainably grow our regional business by implementing the strategic growth plans of the ZwickRoell Group. Operating at a strategic level, the position requires to develop & implement sales & marketing strategies in different territories to excite existing customers as well as to win over new customers. Your tasks

  • Actively drive all sales channel for continuous growth in business & market share by achieving agreed target & measures through operational excellence.
  • Gather and understand insights of customers’ needs and environment by visiting existing as well as potential customers to develop sales strategy for important accounts & opportunities.
  • Propose, coordinate & implement business development plan for selected focus industry segments in potential markets with close interaction with the local & corporate industry management.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge & expertise on an industry segment or applications related to digitalization, automation, industry 4.0 in line to ZwickRoell business. Introduce new go-to-market approaches.
  • Plan & implement business growth strategies in close interaction with the senior management. Further develop our self-reliant Representation Offices in South-East Asia.
  • Lead & guide the direct & indirect sales channels by implementing our global TopSell principle to manage leads, opportunities, win orders and forecast the order entry by utilizing our CRM and Business Intelligence systems.
  • Builds strong business relationships with key decision-makers & influencers through proactive participation in business networking events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Regularly assess & plan necessary training needs of sales & marketing organization w.r.t. business and technical skills gaps & requirements to provide premium consultation capabilities.
  • Plan, propose, implement & analyze regional marketing activities to increase lead findings & visibility through diverse brand recognition activities e.g. customer forum & symposia, digital events.
  • Continuously monitor competitor activities, evaluate developments in close interaction with the global market intelligent team.
  • Take ownership for the annual budget & planning process including order entry, investment & cost accounts. Assure a sustainable, profitable business development.
  • Other duties as well as management & company projects may be assigned.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical / automation / electronics / material science / metallurgy
  • Master’s degree (preferred) in sales & marketing / international business.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales, marketing & business development through different sales channels in the field of premium capital equipment preferably related to materials science.
  • Strong knowledge of APAC markets, industries & factors driving the regional economies.
  • Active member of any industry association related to metal, plastic, medical, automation or digitalization would be of additional advantage.
  • Strong orientation towards customers & communication. Passionate and open.
  • “Leading by example” with proven international, intercultural, emotional & social competence.
  • Able to apply and further grow agile work approaches in a high-performance environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence of stakeholders.
  • Successful track-record to managing change management projects.
  • Sets the right priorities, communicates pro-active, sustainably & solution-oriented.
  • Strong presentation skills utilizing state-of-the art digital tools & technologies.
  • Proficiency in English and an Asian language.
  • Proficiency in German language would be advantageous.
  • 30 to 40% travel requirement regional & overseas.
