- The Service Support Engineer (L2) shall interact with the domestic (later on international) Service Partners of company to provide best practices in service and aftersales as well as to identify & analyze technical and applicational issues concerning the installed base (testing machines & instruments) of the ZwickRoell Group in the territory.
- He/She transfers knowledge to the Service Partners by utilizing standardized ZwickRoell Tools, digital media and documentation in a sustainable approach.
- In case of escalation, he/she is liaising and is engaging with the technical support centers (L3) of the producing companies within the ZwickRoell Group.
- This position requires continuous growth for in-depth technical product and application knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills and reports to the Service & Complaint Manager functional and disciplinarily.
Job Tasks
- Develop strong relationship with the service partners in China, Asia Pacific and later on globally.
- Support the Service partner in determining the adequate testing machine, instrument and software configuration in respect of application and technical requirements during installation up to the whole life cycle of the product.
- Maintain service information, like installation manuals, commissioning and inspection checklists, and ensure that important information and documentation are utilized and available to ZwickRoell service technicians by using the ZwickRoell SharePoint and Customer Relation Management systems (PULSE).
- Liaise and interface with other ZwickRoell teams internally but also cross-company-wide, such as R&D department, Purchase & Logistics department, Quality and Application experts.
- Troubleshoot electronic & electromechanical instruments from schematic, electronical as well as mechanical drawings.
- Obtain feedback from Service partners about possible product improvement and serviceability.
- To perform other duties as required by direct manager.
Education, Experience & Requirements
Education
- College/Bachelor degree or equivalent (Electrical Engineering is preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as service / technical / application support in materials testing and/or analytic machines & instruments
- “Hungry” for professional and personal growth in a regional and international environment
Requirements
- Open minded, good communication skills, strong team spirit, self-driven
- Good English in written & oral (CET6/ BEC Vantage level) Proficiency in German language would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently.
- Goal-oriented and has a flexible approach to work
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM and software as well as data management, analysis
- Up to 30% travel requirements, nationally as well as internationally
